HEAT ANNOUNCE BRETT LYON RELEASED FROM PTO

BRETT LYON

Abbotsford, BC – The Abbotsford Heat announced today that forward Brett Lyon has been released from his Professional Try-Out (PTO) and will join the Bakersfield Condors of the ECHL (ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers).

Lyon appeared in one game for the Heat this season and registered 11 penalty minutes. The Grand Forks, BC native played in 48 games last season with Bakersfield and registered five goals, five assists, and 179 penalty minutes.

The next Heat home games are Friday, October 25th and Saturday, October 26th against the Lake Erie Monsters (AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche). Friday, October 25th is Heat magnetic schedule giveaway night, with the first 2,500 fans getting a free Abbotsford Heat magnetic schedule. Saturday, October 26th will be a “Monster Mash”, featuring a number of unique Halloween events and activities. Fans are encouraged to dress up in their Halloween costumes for the game, with a best dressed costume contest, “Trick or Suite” opportunity for kids under 12, and an opportunity to see the Heat mash the Lake Erie Monsters.
