FLAMES REASSIGN GOALTENDER DANNY TAYLOR TO ABBOTSFORD

Calgary, AB – The Calgary Flames announced today they have reassigned goaltender Danny Taylor to the Abbotsford Heat and activated Miikka Kiprusoff from injured reserve. Kiprusoff returns to the Flames line-up after recovering from a grade 2 MCL sprain suffered on February 5th against the Detroit Red Wings.

Taylor appeared in two games with the Flames recording a 1-1-0 record including his first career NHL win on March 3rd versus the Vancouver Canucks. Born in Plymouth, England but raised in Ottawa, Ontario, Taylor has backstopped the Flames affiliate in Abbotsford for the past two seasons. This season he is currently first in the AHL with a 1.82 GAA and fourth in save percentage .929%. Taylor was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the 7th round (221st overall) of the 2004 NHL Draft.
